How long should a jump rope be?

Stand on the middle of the rope and pull the handles up: chest to armpit height is a useful starting point. Then test it with low jumps and your hands beside your hips, adjusting the length in small increments. When comparing sizes, note whether the stated length is the free rope length or includes the handles: Winning sizes exclude the handles, while Booster P1 and P2 include them. Only trim the rope to its final length once you can jump comfortably without stopping.
