Boxing gloves are almost always unisex—the differences for women are in weight, color, and fit. Women generally choose lighter weights (10 oz to 14 oz), and brands such as XPRT and Twins and Hayabusa release specific women's models with a smaller hand shape and colors designed for women.

Women generally choose lighter weights than men, depending on build and intended use:
Guidelines based on use and build:
8 oz - lightweight athletes, small hands, primarily technique training
10 oz - average-sized women, bag work and pads, light sparren
12 oz - the most commonly chosen size (approx. 70% of women), suitable for both training and sparren
14 oz - larger or heavier athletes, intensive sparren
Beginners: start with 10 oz or 12 oz - this is sufficient for technique training and provides your training partner with adequate protection during sparren.

Boxing - all models are suitable. For serious sparring, the Rival RS11V, Twins BGVL3 and Cleto Reyes Velcro are the most commonly used choices among advanced female athletes.
Kickboxing and thai boxing - the same gloves are used. The XPRT Pro V3 and Twins BGVL3 are popular in kickboxing and thai boxing gyms.
Cardio boksen and fitness - a lighter glove (8-10 oz) is sufficient. The XPRT Enforcer V4 and King Pro Boxing are good entry-level choices for fitness purposes.
Krav Maga - Velcro gloves are the standard. The XPRT Pro V3 and Enforcer V4 are widely used in Krav Maga training.

Are inner gloves necessary for women's boxing gloves?
Yes.
Wearing inner gloves is always recommended for women. In addition to reinforcing your hands, they serve another (hygienic) purpose. The sweat is absorbed by the inner gloves, which you can then wash. This keeps your gloves fresher and in better condition for longer.
It is even better to wear handwraps. They provide more support and protection. It may seem complicated to put them on, but you'll get the hang of it quickly. For handwraps, we often include links to instructional videos on the product pages so you can learn how to wrap them in advance.
Another very popular option is to wear gel-wraps. They offer the convenience of inner gloves, the reinforcement of handwraps, and, as an added benefit, extra cushioning for your knuckles!
Can I also use women's boxing gloves for kickboxing?
Yes.
Actually, there is no difference between women's boxing gloves and women's kickboxing gloves.
There are brands that focus more on boxing, while others are more focused on kickboxing and thai boxing.

Is there a difference between women’s and men’s boxing gloves?
No.
There are not really any dedicated women's boxing gloves. Boxing gloves are unisex, but women usually simply choose a lighter boxing glove (that is, a smaller size). These are available in various color combinations.
Women generally have somewhat narrower hands than men, so it is better not to choose a boxing glove that is too heavy. We have created a separate selection within our range of boxing gloves that are more suitable for women because of their fit.
Are pink boxing gloves just as good as gloves in other colors?
Yes.
The color does not affect the quality of the boxing gloves. However, please bear in mind that there are no pink, green, or blue cows. The leather (or synthetic leather) is always dyed. The color may therefore become less attractive over time.
Your boxing gloves can certainly be a little feminine, so go for the color you like best! Any extra motivation is always welcome, right?
