Top 3 punching mitts up to €100 (2025)

Top 3 punching mitts up to €100 (2025)

This is a new part in our series of best-buy guides: punching mitts. We have divided the punching mitts into price ranges. In this part of our best-buy guide for punching mitts, we will review the punching mitts in the category for recreational use: up to 100 euros.

Subdivision by price range

Since the available budget is often a determining factor for the choice, we have divided the punching mitts into 3 price ranges: punching mitts up to 100 euros, up to 200 euros, and the absolute top class above 200 euros.

We will now cover the category for entry-level models (up to 100 euros) and will address the other categories in other blogs from the best-buy guides.

Criteria for scoring punching mitts*

When evaluating the punching mitts, we look at what we consider the most important properties of punching mitts: ergonomics (comfort, weight distribution, and grip), degree of impact absorption, and build quality. We will score the punching mitts based on these criteria.

  1. Ergonomics: By fit, we mean: comfort during use, but especially how well the punching mitts conform to the contours of your hands and arms. This also brings an important note: everyone’s hands are different, so there is also a bit of personal preference or shape and size of your hands involved. We also pay attention to weight distribution and ease of use.
  2. Impact absorption: Protection is the extent to which the punching mitts do what they are intended for: absorbing strikes with limited feedback transmission. Therefore, the degree of impact is also linked to fit and weight, as these properties influence each other.
  3. Build quality: The materials used, finish, and sturdiness of the punching mitts. We also look at details such as the hand compartments and closures.

At the time of writing, Fight2Win has a selection of more than 30 different punching mitts for krav maga, martial arts, boxing, kickboxing, and thai boxing in its assortment. *From this, we make a selection of the top 3 based on customer experiences and feedback, external product reviews, popularity, and our own expertise.

Best buy: Punching mitts up to €100

  1. Rival RPM7 Fitness+
  2. Hayabusa PTS3
  3. King Pro Revo 2

1. Rival RPM7 Fitness+

Punching mitts Rival Fitness+ Punch Mitts RPM7 Black Gold

The Rival RPM7 Fitness+ mitts are great pads for recreationalists and beginners. They look flashy, are fairly large in size, and are lightweight. It should be clear that these pads - like most pads in this price range - are not suitable for intensive use in a gym or commercial setting. In that case, we really recommend shopping in a higher price range.

Still, the RPM7 are certainly not bad mitts. They are suitable for use with people who strike and box recreationally or absolute beginners. Rival also advertises this by adding the name Fitness+ to this model.

Punching mitts Rival Fitness+ Punch Mitts RPM7 Black Gold

Ergonomics Rival RPM7 Fitness+ (Score: 7/10)

The fit of the Rival RPM7 Fitness+ is simply very good, especially for mitts in this price range. The RPM7 clearly benefits from the know-how and knowledge of the bigger brothers. They have a natural curve and a nice teardrop shape.

The slip-on hand with mesh panels fits most people well, and a Velcro closure ensures you can secure the mitts more firmly. Keep in mind again that these are not mitts to work with for hours on end.

Despite the somewhat larger size, the mitts are also very light, making them very pleasant for recreationalists to work with. This scores points for the mitts in terms of ergonomics and ease of use.

Impact absorption Rival RPM7 Fitness+ (Score: 6/10)

The Rival RPM7 Fitness+ score adequately in impact absorption, but not much more than that. They are intended for conditioning and precision exercises for recreationalists, not to absorb hard blows.

The surface of these mitts is quite firm, so using bag gloves or boxing gloves is always recommended.

These feel great in the hand, even with wraps on, and are super light. They seem quite cheap and the foam is very firm on the striking surface, making training with bare knuckles unrealistic, light hitting with bag gloves, and heavy hitting with gloves. The dense foam transfers shocks to your hand, so you will want to limit the force to fitness training, as described for these punching mitts. Do not buy these if you want to deliver hard strikes; elbows work well, although the surface is not abrasive or rubbery.

Sjors (Loox Verified Review)

Build quality Rival RPM7 Fitness+ (Score: 7/10)

The build quality of the Rival RPM7 punching mitts is just sufficient. They feel very light and the padding does not seem to be of the highest quality. For recreational use, they will function well, but we think the padding will break down with harder strikes.

Our experiences with Rival are very positive. This product is in Rival's budget segment, so we do not expect the highest scores for durability. However, on Google, the Rival RPM7 Fitness+ surprisingly scores higher with a 4.9 out of 5 stars. And this with a reliable number of respondents of more than 100.

2. Hayabusa PTS3

Punching mitts Hayabusa PTS3

The Hayabusa PTS3 are available in 2 variants: regular and micro. In this review, we will use the regular version, but both have the same features and are made from the same materials.

The PTS3 mitts from Hayabusa look professional and appear to be a very decent pair of punching mitts that could easily belong to a higher price class. Everything seems right about these mitts and they also carry the famous Hayabusa logo—what more could you want?

By the way, Hayabusa currently only has one model of punching mitts in their range, which is the PTS3.

Punching mitts Hayabusa PTS3

Ergonomics Hayabusa PTS3 (Score: 7/10)

Hayabusa, like the other Canadian brand Rival, is known for their progressive designs and materials. There is almost always extensive research and testing with fighters before the materials actually go into production.

The PTS3 feel light but certainly not fragile. They fit comfortably and follow the anatomy of your hands quite well due to the slight curve. Because of the rounded shape, we could get a good grip on the mitts, so we could throw punches nicely.

Although the Hayabusa mitts have a mesh panel at the hand compartment, they get very warm inside during use, just like the gloves from this brand. We get sweaty hands and already know these mitts will need a good dose of FreshKO or Sukkiri spray.

For those who are going to punch, the Hayabusa PTS3 has a nice striking surface, especially in the regular version. By the way, we would always buy the regular version. When the need for micro-mitts arises, we would definitely shop in a higher price range.

Impact absorption Hayabusa PTS3 (Score: 6/10)

The Hayabusa mitts have sufficient padding to absorb punches. It feels good and cushions enough, but just like the other mitts in this price range, it’s not material to punch extremely hard on.

You definitely get feedback as a trainer from the mitts that do spread the impact but still let through a lot of power.

Build quality Hayabusa PTS3 (Score: 7/10)

The build quality of the Hayabusa PTS3 is solid. The finish is neat and it all looks quite serious. So no toys or kids’ mitts.

We would have preferred the strap that secures the mitts to be a bit wider and/or sturdier. But we’re not talking about top-class punching mitts here. So just a decent 7 for this part. On Google, the PTS3 also score very well with 4.9/5 stars from more than 50 product reviews at the time of writing.

3. King Pro Revo 2

Punching mitts King Pro Boxing Revo 2 Black White

The King Pro Revo 2 punching mitts offer a lot of mitt for the limited amount at first glance. They are even a bit more affordable than the ones mentioned above and many other competitors.

They look like serious punching mitts and definitely stand out above the "toy" level of the really cheap punching mitts from sports chains.

Punching mitts King Pro Boxing Revo 2 Black White

Ergonomics King Pro Revo 2 (Score: 6/10)

The King Pro Revo 2 punching mitts fit well on your hands and can be fastened with hook & loop fastener. This is good, but the closure leaves some play between your wrist and the mitts. They do not fit as precisely as punching mitts in the higher segment.

The King Pro pads are shaped in a classic light curve, so we find a reasonable grip in these budget punching mitts. The hands go in an open glove, so you can manage quite well with them.

Impact absorption King Pro Revo 2 (Score: 6/10)

You can do some extra training with the Revo 2 punching mitts, but due to the play in the wrist area and the moderate padding, these mitts are also not suitable for hitting very hard.

You have a fairly comfortable grip in the mitts, but expect quite a lot of rebound when absorbing punches. There is no extra cushioning layer in the basic padding.

Build quality King Pro Revo 2 (Score: 6/10)

All value for money. The King Pro Revo 2 punching mitts look quite good with the mesh and hook & loop fastener, but it is all very cheaply finished. The straps of the hook & loop fastener look very messy and the metal rings they go through do not seem very durable.

Still, the King pads score just a pass in this area, because we are also talking about a price category for materials you buy as extras. Not for training your PT clients or top fighters day in and day out.

+ Very affordably priced.
