Top 3 women's boxing gloves up to €200 (2025)

Boxing gloves are the most important piece of equipment for most combat sports, such as boxing and kickboxing. Our complete collection of boxing gloves is enormous. Therefore, we understand that the sheer number of options can make it difficult to make the right choice.

Best Buy Guide: Top 3 Best Women's Boxing Gloves

That's why we've created this best-buy guide specifically for women. We already had a website where we've compiled a selection of boxing gloves we consider very suitable for women. And no, they're not all pink or in sugary colors. That's possible, but we've primarily looked (based on our customer experiences) at which boxing gloves are more suitable for women.

Boxing gloves most suitable for women

There are no "real" boxing gloves specifically for women. Boxing gloves are almost always unisex. Women's boxing gloves differ from men's only in color and weight.

While most brands and manufacturers don't make separate women's boxing gloves, a number of martial arts brands like Twins , Hayabusa , and Booster also specifically target women . We also have a very extensive selection of women's boxing gloves from the XPRT Fight Gear brand.

Important aspects when choosing boxing gloves for women

Now that you're ready to decide on your first or next pair of boxing gloves, we present this blog post with our findings. Some questions immediately arise:

  • Which martial art will you use the boxing gloves for?
  • Which type of boxing gloves do you prefer?
  • Do you have a preference for the type of closure or the materials used?
  • What is your budget for a pair of boxing gloves?

Women's gloves for boxing and kickboxing

Most people are looking for a pair of boxing gloves (understandably) for the most popular combat sports: boxing and kickboxing. That's what we'll focus on in this guide.

For other group classes and self-defense systems, such as krav maga and cardio boxing, you can use the same boxing gloves.

If you're only going to train with a bag or exclusively with pads and a personal trainer, we recommend looking into a pair of bag gloves . We've also written excellent best-buy guides for this.

At the time of writing, Fight2Win has a selection of over 300 different boxing gloves in its product range. From these, we will select the top 3 women's boxing gloves under €200 . This research is based on customer experiences and feedback, sales popularity, and our own expertise.

Breakdown by price range

Since the available budget is often a determining factor in the choice, we have divided the boxing gloves into 3 price ranges: up to 100 euros, up to 200 euros and the absolute top class above 200 euros.

The first part was the category up to a hundred euros, because if you go much lower than that you actually end up with "toy" boxing gloves, and that is not something we as a specialty store pay attention to.

In this second installment of our best-buy guides for women's boxing gloves, we'll examine the category with the most serious options: gloves between €100 and €200. Here you'll find boxing gloves perfect for dedicated athletes who take their equipment seriously.

Criteria for scoring women's boxing gloves

When evaluating women's boxing gloves, we look at what we consider to be the most important features of a women's boxing glove: fit, protection, build quality, and comfort. These are the criteria we use to score the boxing gloves.

  1. Fit & comfort: By fit and comfort, we naturally mean that gloves fit snugly without pinching. They should be easy to put on, even with bandages, and offer sufficient room for the fingers. We also consider factors like a comfortable grip (which makes it easier to make a fist) and good ventilation when assessing this aspect.
  2. Protection & Support: Protection is the extent to which the boxing gloves perform as intended: protecting your opponent, but also your own hands, knuckles, and wrists. The closure is important here, as is the padding. Padding is actually the most important part of a boxing glove, and it's the hardest to judge without using them first (or testing them, as we do).
  3. Build quality: The materials used, the finish, and the durability of the boxing glove. We also look at details like the stitching and Velcro straps. We also consider the durability of the padding under fairly intensive use.

Since we've divided women's boxing gloves into three price ranges, as mentioned earlier, we don't use price as a scoring criterion in this best-buy guide.

Best Buy: Women's Boxing Gloves Up to €200

  1. Hayabusa T3
  2. Rival RS2V
  3. Twins BGVL3/4

1. Hayabusa T3

Hayabusa T3 Trophy Boxing Gloves

The Hayabusa T3 has been a top seller for years when it comes to boxing gloves for both men and women. And rightly so. We've been selling Hayabusa gear for almost 10 years, but in the last few years, the brand has truly become known among the general public.

Fortunately, despite its enormous scale, Hayabusa manages to maintain quality. This is something many well-known brands struggle with when their popularity suddenly skyrockets worldwide, as we've seen firsthand.

Everyone is familiar with the Hayabusa T3s by now thanks to the revolutionary closure system the innovative brand introduced a few years ago: Dual-X Closure. This groundbreaking design allows the closure to be pulled very tightly around the wrists. And for many women (who tend to have smaller wrists), this is an excellent innovation in the boxing glove market.

Appearance isn't a factor in this test, but we've heard from many customers that they also think the Hayabusa T3 looks fantastic. It's clearly a distinctive glove and is now available in over 30 different colorways. The regular T3 is made of Vylar-2 and takes first place in this test. There are two other versions above the "regular" T3: Kanpeki and LX, but both cost over €200.

Hayabusa T3 Trophy Boxing Gloves

Fit & comfort Hayabusa T3 (Score: 8/10)

The fit of the Hayabusa T3 is truly phenomenal, especially for women! All female customers will appreciate the compact hand compartment and the comfortable double Velcro closure.

In fact, we sometimes even sell 16oz Hayabusas to teenage girls who would normally choose a 12oz or at most a 14oz from another brand. This is because the Hayabusa is simply nice and tight inside.

The thumb position is also found to be pleasant by many women, but we must add that this can vary from person to person.

One major drawback we consider a major drawback, and therefore our rating of 8 out of 10, is the heat buildup in the Hayabusa T3. They get much warmer inside than many other boxing glove brands. While this isn't a problem for many people during exercise (you'll definitely get warm with boxing and kickboxing), if you're sensitive to this, it's an important factor to consider when choosing.

Nice gloves, but the 14 oz is too small, making them uncomfortable for your fingers. They also dry slowly, staying damp for a long time.

Manon (Loox Verified Review)

These Hayabusa gloves feature the now-famous Dual-X closure. This patented system consists of two Velcro straps (instead of one) that pull the gloves tightly around the wrists in opposite directions.

This creates an incredibly tight closure, very similar to classic boxing gloves with laces. However, we should note that in practice, this is a bit more difficult than with boxing gloves with a conventional closure. It's also possible that your wraps might stick to the Velcro if you're not yet accustomed to this closure.

Of course, the (women's) boxing gloves also feature a comfortable grip bar, ensuring you can make a good fist whether you choose a 12 oz, 14 oz, or even 16 oz. We give the Hayabusa T3 a generous and respectable 8+ points for this aspect. This could be a 9 if the gloves didn't get so incredibly warm.

Protection & Support Hayabusa T3 (Score: 9/10)

The T3's padding is firm and excellent. The boxing gloves' padding consists of multiple layers and is designed to absorb shock very well. In our opinion, the firmness and thickness of the padding are almost ideal, falling somewhere between a Twins and a Cleto Reyes, for example.

The Hayabusa T3's splint system, combined with the Dual-X closure system, provides unparalleled wrist support. With the exception of the Rival RS11V and lace-up gloves, few other boxing gloves come close.

There's no padding on the palms, as there's space there for ventilation. This is a good thing, otherwise the gloves would be ovens. However, there is a good protective layer over the side edges, which is very helpful for support and to absorb impacts.

Great gloves if you're looking for a snug fit and support for your wrists and palms to help you catch kicks, etc. Definitely worth the higher price.👍

Simon (Loox Verified Review)

In terms of protection and (especially) support, the Hayabusa T3 truly impresses. So much so that many people choose the same boxing gloves again after their first pair. The Hayabusa T3 deservedly scores 9 points.

Build quality Hayabusa T3 (Score: 8/10)

We're no strangers to the Hayabusa, so we can honestly say the build quality is excellent. You might expect some issues with the elastics, but they remain perfectly fine under normal use.

Of course, people shopping in this price range also understand that no boxing glove lasts forever and therefore usually buy new ones when the padding clearly starts to become too soft for safe use.

The stitching and finish of the Hayabusa T3 are also excellent, and we rarely have any issues with the durability of Hayabusa boxing gloves. Add to that the fact that the price is quite reasonable for the most important material in your workout gear. We give the T3 an 8-point rating for quality.

2. Rival RS2V

Rival Super Sparring RS2V Black 2.0 Boxing Gloves

The second model in this top 3 is from Rival Boxing Gear: the RS2V. This brand's best-selling boxing glove is the RS11V, but it's in a higher price range. However, the RS2V is definitely in no way inferior to the RS11V and may even be the better choice for women thanks to its narrower cuff (conic cuff design).

The RS2V gloves are truly stunning, and we're huge fans of all the Canadian brand's products. Literally every product in Rival Boxing Gear's A-line will amaze you with its quality and innovation.

Like the Hayabysa T3, the Rivals feature a completely innovative closure system: the Ergo-Strap Xtreme System. The Rival uses two separate, opposing diagonal Velcro straps. It works well, but it does require practice and patience to master.

The RS2V are currently available in 4 colours and all common sizes.

Rival Super Sparring RS2V Black 2.0 Boxing Gloves

Fit & comfort Rival RS2V (Score: 8/10)

As soon as you put the RS2V on, you feel the gloves mold to your hands. And that's true, because Rival has a unique foam liner that conforms to the shape and size of your hands. This feels truly amazing and gives you an incredibly "snug" (we're struggling to find the right word) feeling.

Rival products are all developed under the guidance of experienced boxing trainer Russ Anber (CEO of Rival Boxing Gear). The gloves are designed with human anatomy in mind, focusing on stance, posture, and wrist shape.

The RS2Vs are incredibly comfortable and have a brilliant fit. The only reason we don't give them a higher score is that the closure system is a bit fiddly, especially when you're in a hurry. In that respect, the Rival RS11V is better.

I would have preferred one closure instead of two. They're also quite tight. Otherwise, nice glove.

Gwenn (Loox Verified Review)

These top-of-the-line women's boxing gloves from Rival Boxing offer extra padding on the palms and grip bar for a firmer fist. Like Rival's lace-up RS1 Ultra, this model uses a conic cuff design. This means the wrists start narrow and taper to a more rounded shape. We find this incredibly comfortable, especially for narrower (women's) wrists.

The RS2V is made of Rival's proprietary microfiber, not leather, as people (wrongly) often expect in this price range. Today's top-quality synthetic materials are often better than genuine 100% leather. We'll get to that when we discuss build quality, but we'd like to point out that the RS2V doesn't have the Hayabusa T3's heat buildup problem. They stay reasonably cool inside—as much as possible during intense training.

Protection & Support Rival RS2V (Score: 8/10)

The padding on all Rival boxing gloves is exceptionally good, and the RS2V is no exception. It's no wonder so many professional boxers train with Rival gloves.

What makes the Rivals stand out compared to many other boxing gloves is the extra padding across the entire width of the palm. This provides better grip and is also incredibly helpful for absorbing punch combinations during training.

In terms of cushioning quality and overall padding on the striking surface, the Rival is unmatched. The only reason we rate these boxing gloves slightly lower than the Hayabusa T3 for women is that the wrist support of the Hayabusa T3 is slightly firmer. However, if you prefer better padding for heavy punches, the Rivals are the (much) better choice. This is truly a personal preference, and we tend to believe the Rival is the better choice for more experienced fighters.

Rival's dual-closure system—the Ergo-Strap Xtreme System—works well, but is a bit more cumbersome than that of the RS11V or the Hayabusa. It takes some getting used to, but otherwise works very well. Because it's diagonal, it covers more surface area on the wrists, offering extra support.

Would definitely buy them again, great support and comfort

David (Loox Verified Review)

The RS2V also excels in protection and support, delivering a top-notch performance. We awarded them a respectable 8 points.

Build quality Rival RS2V (Score: 9/10)

We never have any complaints or comments about the quality of Rival boxing gloves. They're all very well-made, and Rival's quality control is impeccable. Rival's renowned microfiber is incredibly durable, and in that respect, the Rival gloves won't wear out within their normal lifespan.

Another advantage of synthetic material is that it retains colors much better than real leather. The dye won't crack because it's embedded in the material itself, rather than dyed.

We've been selling Rival boxing gloves for several years now, and time and again, they've proven to be incredibly durable. This also applies to the RS2V models from Rival Boxing Gear. However, we've deliberately chosen to stock only the higher-end A-models from Rival.

Since we have a fantastic pair of comfortable, yet sturdy boxing gloves here, we score the Rival RS2V boxing gloves a very neat 9 points!

Rival Super Sparring RS2V Black 2.0 Boxing Gloves

Rival RS2V Features:

Material Microfiber
Closure Ergo-Strap Xtreme System.
Sizes 12 oz to 16 oz
Extra Padded palm, double closure
To colour Black, red, blue and white

Pros:

+ Excellent fit and protection

+ Rival's microfiber is a really strong material

Negatives:

- Ergo-Strap Xtreme System works a little less pleasantly

3. Twins Special BGVL3/4

Boxing Gloves Twins BGVL3 Pastel Lilac

Rounding out the top three of this test is a classic with a fresh new look: the Twins BGVL3 boxing gloves. This model has proven itself for decades and is authentically made in Thailand.

Twins Special never disappoints and delivers consistent quality year after year. We have seen the price rise significantly over the past ten years, but that's unfortunately the case with many products (even those outside the martial arts world). Thailand has also long since ceased to be a low-wage country. And that's actually worth mentioning.

The Twins women's boxing gloves are made with a tried-and-true formula: 100% leather, thick, soft padding, and a wide Velcro closure. This model has been unchanged for many years, and plenty of fighters swear exclusively by the relatively simple Twins boxing gloves.

Over the years, Twins has also discovered that the market for boxing gloves has grown significantly, and they've expanded from a few basic colors to dozens of color combinations. From basic black to the latest pastel purple, as shown in the attached photos.

Boxing Gloves Twins BGVL3 Pastel Lilac

Fit & comfort Twins Special BGVL3/4 (Score: 7/10)

Twins Special has had this flagship model in its product line for years, alongside the other bestseller, the BGN (almost identical, except with padding on the palms) and the newer BGVL6. The BGVL3 is a relatively straightforward boxing glove of solid quality, without any modern frills.

The style is highly appreciated by many because it has remained consistent throughout the years. However, we do find the Twins to be inferior to the Rival and Twins in terms of fit for women. They are considerably wider, which is good if you have large hands, but less suitable for most women.

A major advantage of the Twins boxing gloves is the comfortable, supple, and soft leather they use. This natural material, combined with ventilation holes in the palms, provides the best airflow in this test and is perhaps one of the best in boxing gloves overall.

Regarding the fit, we'd like to add that these gloves will stretch considerably with use. This isn't a negative, but it is important to consider when choosing the weight of your boxing gloves. We've seen people find the gloves too tight immediately after purchase, but they appreciate them much more after a few training sessions.

Good quality and fit. Beautiful color.

Sylvia (Loox Verified Review)

The Twins boxing gloves have a very comfortable and extra-wide Velcro closure that fits snugly around the wrists. The short shaft is also appreciated by many.

Protection & Support Twins Special BGVL3/4 (Score: 7/10)

The BGVL3's padding is sufficient, but in our opinion, it's very soft. This is therefore very pleasant initially for you and certainly for your training partners. However, from experience, we know that soft padding will soften even further over time, until your knuckles show through. Once this happens, it's definitely time for a new pair. Of course, this largely depends on the force of the impact you make during your punch.

The Twins have thick padding on the striking surface and the backs of your hands. So you're very well protected, and so are your fists. For this test, we chose the BGVL3 because we like the air vents and because it's available in many more attractive colors. If you also want extra padding on the palms (which not everyone wants), we recommend the BGN. It's otherwise a virtually identical boxing glove.

They are as expected!! 100%

Orianna (Loox Verified Review)

Overall, the Twins Special boxing gloves offer excellent protection for your hands and your partners. The thumb is also positioned comfortably and naturally. It's also more than adequately protected against blows or impacts by the thick padding.

The wrists are significantly less supported than, for example, Rival or Hayabusa boxing gloves. You'll have to rely more on your technique and your hand wraps for proper wrist support. This is mainly why we score the Twins slightly lower than our direct competitors. This is even more true for women, as they'll have much more room at the wrists (the cuff) of the gloves.

For protection and support, we give the Twins BGVL3 a 7 out of 10.

Build quality Twins Special BGVL3/4 (Score: 8/10)

After more than twenty years of selling, we can confidently say that the 100% leather Twins boxing gloves never disappoint when it comes to build quality. Since they are genuine leather boxing gloves, they do require some care.

Always let them dry outside your bag in a ventilated, dry space. Never do this near a heater or in direct sunlight (you shouldn't do this with faux leather boxing gloves either, by the way). The advantage of leather, however, is that you can take care of it yourself. Not everyone does this, and that's fine, but to prevent cracking and drying out, we do recommend regularly lightly greasing the leather with leather grease or leather lotion.

The leather used in the Twins is supple, and the colors generally hold up well. Small cracks are not uncommon over time, but this absolutely does not detract from their functionality.

Based on our experience with this top Thai brand and this model in particular, we score the Twins Special BGVL3/4 a good 8 points.

Essential information and questions about women's boxing gloves

What size boxing gloves for women?

Women typically choose 12 oz boxing gloves. This also depends on the martial arts brand and your own posture.

90% of women choose a 12oz glove, but if you're a bit smaller and lighter, you can also consider a 10oz boxing glove. If you want to train harder or are a bit bigger, you can of course opt for 14oz boxing gloves. This also depends partly on the brand.

We've included a unique sizing chart for each brand and model of (women's) boxing gloves. Please consult this chart as often as possible for a good guideline.

What is the difference between women's and men's boxing gloves?

There really aren't any differences. There are no boxing gloves specifically for men or women. Boxing gloves are almost always suitable for both men and women (after all, they're usually ready-made).

Women generally have slightly narrower hands than men, so it's wiser to choose a lighter (smaller) boxing glove. These are often also slightly smaller and have a narrower fit.

How do I determine my boxing glove size as a woman?

Boxing gloves do not go by "normal" sizes, but by weight measurements expressed in ounces (oz).

General size chart for women's boxing gloves:

Weight Mate
up to 57 kg 10 oz
57 to 70 kg 12 oz
70 to 85 kg 14 oz
More than 85 kg 16 oz

Each brand and model of women's boxing glove on our website has a unique sizing chart (in the size selection section and at the bottom of the content). This chart provides the best possible guideline for what we think is the best choice for you for that specific model.

The rule of thumb is: "The heavier the person, the heavier the glove." A heavier boxing glove generally has more padding and is therefore safer for the hands and the training partner. Trainers generally prefer heavier boxing gloves over lighter ones.

In short, women typically train with 10 oz, 12 oz, or 14 oz.

Which women's boxing gloves are best for bag training?

You can also use regular boxing gloves for bag training. However, they're not designed for this and will therefore break more easily than specialized bag gloves.

The XPRT Top Gloves, for example, are a good choice. They offer excellent value and are also the winner of this test.

The advantage of "regular" boxing gloves is that you can use them both on the punching bag and with a partner. However, traditional boxing clubs won't appreciate this. You're not supposed to damage the padding of your sparring gloves on the punching bag.

Separate bag gloves

Most of our customers don't want to buy more than one pair of boxing gloves, although that's usually the best choice . If you regularly train on a punching bag (or hand pads), it's definitely wiser to buy separate bag gloves for that. Both pairs will last much longer that way.

If you're looking to purchase a pair of gloves specifically for bag training (and pad training), we'd highly recommend the Rival RB50 .

Are inner gloves or hand wraps required for women's boxing gloves?

Yes. Wearing inner gloves is always recommended for women. Besides strengthening your hands, they serve another (hygienic) purpose. Sweat collects in the inner gloves, which you can then wash. This keeps your gloves fresher and in better condition for longer.

Wearing handwraps is even better. These provide more support and protection. Putting them on might seem complicated, but you'll quickly get the hang of it. We've often included links to videos on our bandages' product pages to help you get started.

Another very popular option is to wear gel wraps . These offer the convenience of inner gloves, the reinforcement of bandages, and the added comfort of extra cushioning on your knuckles!
