Punching bags maintenance
- Wipe the outside of the punching bag with a lightly damp cloth to remove sweat and dirt. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as they can damage the material and shorten the punching bag's lifespan.
- Make sure the punching bag hangs in a dry environment to prevent mold.
- Use leather grease/leather conditioner once a month to prevent cracks and drying out (in the case of leather punching bags).
- Always wear (bag) gloves and/or handwraps.
- Check the chain and hanging system for signs of wear. If they are damaged, you must replace them.
- Over time, a punching bag will "sink." The filling compresses due to gravity. Usually, you can refill the punching bag from the top with suitable filling.
