Maintenance of punching bags

Wipe the outside of the punching bag with a slightly damp cloth to remove sweat and dirt. Do not use harsh cleaning agents, as these can damage the material and shorten the lifespan of the punching bag.
Make sure the punching bag is hung in a dry environment to prevent mold.
Use leather grease/leather conditioner once a month to prevent cracking and drying out (in the case of leather punching bags).
Always wear (disposable) gloves and/or bandages.
Check the chain and suspension system for signs of wear. If they are damaged, you must replace them.
Over time, a punching bag will "sag." The filling collapses under gravity. Usually, you can refill the punching bag from the top with a suitable filling yourself.
