Wipe the leather exterior after each training with a damp cloth and let the headgear air out in a dry place — never store it directly in a sports bag. The smooth leather interior is resistant to sweat and petroleum jelly, but clean it regularly with a mild cleaner. Treat the leather periodically with a leather conditioner to prevent drying out and keep the headgear out of direct sunlight.
