Intelli-Shock D3O™ is the best shock-absorbing padding in the world.

Rival was the first, and to this day remains the only, company in the boxing and MMA world to use it.

This incredible material has been a standard feature in some of our headgear and boxing gloves for more than ten years.

How effective is Intelli-Shock? Well, approximately 6 mm (a quarter inch) or 3 mm (an eighth of an inch) of Intelli-Shock padding provides the same protection as approximately 25 mm (an inch) of other padding.

This is because it uses Intelligent Shock Absorption™, a patented shock-absorbing material developed with intelligent molecules.

At low speeds, the molecules in D3O™ move freely, making it soft and flexible, while at high speeds the molecules lock together to form an excellent shock absorber.

D3O™ provides significantly more protection than conventional foams, making it the perfect solution for improving internal protection in equipment and accessories.

The RFX-Guerrero Intelli-Shock bag gloves, which use this technology, harden on contact.

This not only reduces the amount of energy transferred to the body by 40%*, representing a drastic reduction in impact load, but also makes the glove approximately 38% lighter than regular gel-technology boxing gloves available on the market.

Inspired by the success of its big brother, the Original Wrist Lock, Rival has taken its innovative thinking to the next level.

Instead of settling for a one-dimensional adjustment, Rival invented the double V-shaped strap.

With a loop on both the thumb side and the opposite side of the glove, the Wrist Lock 2 ensures that both sides of the glove, from the thumb to the cuff, are pressed evenly when fastening the strap. This is similar to applying tape over the cuff of a professional boxing glove.

Rival Boxing is convinced that this system comes as close as possible to replicating the comfort and stability of a fully laced boxing glove in a hook-and-loop glove.
