Care, washing & storage
  • Take out of your bag immediately after exercising.
  • Wipe the outside with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Store in a cool, dry place with good natural ventilation.
  • If desired, use an antibacterial spray.
  • For leather shin guards: use leather grease/leather conditioner once a month to prevent cracks and drying out.
  • DO NOT put in the washing machine.

Tips for Hayabusa T3 Shin guards

The Hayabusa T3 shin guards are available in sizes S to XL - take your size seriously. Shin guards that are too large slide around during kicks, while those that are too small provide insufficient coverage of the shin. Consult the size chart on the product page and measure your shin from knee to ankle.

An ankle sock under the T3 can help prevent chafing, keep the inside clean, and provide extra grip on the leg. The double hook-and-loop closure is most secure when fastened from bottom to top—the silicone interior then provides extra non-slip grip.

After training: do not put them in the bag. Let the T3 air out and wipe them with a damp cloth. The VYLAR®-2 material is durable but sensitive to prolonged exposure to moisture and sweat.

Is Hayabusa’s Vylar-2 just as good as genuine leather?

Vylar-2 synthetic leather is scientifically proven to be up to nearly30% stronger than regular leather. These Hayabusa boxing gloves will therefore certainly not fall short of genuine leather boxing gloves. In addition, Vylar-2 synthetic leather retains its color better and does not develop cracks. 

What is the background of the Hayabusa brand?

How do I fasten my Hayabusa shin guards?

All Hayabusa shin guards feature a so-called "hook & loop closure". This is combined with additional elastic straps behind the Achilles tendon and under the foot.

Hook and loop means threading a strap through a buckle or loop, then bringing it back and pulling it tight.

Are Hayabusa shin guards suitable for everyone?

No.

Although the Hayabusa T3 are fantastic shin guards, we would not recommend them to everyone.

Hayabusa T3 shin guards run very large and wide. The fit is excellent, but they are not suitable for people with slim or thin legs.

What material are Hayabusa shin guards made of?

The T3 Carbon, Storm, and Trophy are made from VYLAR-2 synthetic leather.

VYLAR-2 synthetic leather has been scientifically proven to be up to nearly 30% stronger than regular leather. These Hayabusa shin guards therefore certainly won't be inferior to genuine leather shin guards. In addition, the color of Vylar-2 synthetic leather holds up better, and the synthetic leather does not develop cracks. 

The T3 LX Retro is made from the finest Italian cowhide, ensuring high durability, and the leather is highly resistant to wear.
