Punching bag training is currently extremely popular , and that makes perfect sense, as you enjoy the benefits of martial arts training like boxing and kickboxing without what many people consider a disadvantage: taking hits and injuries.
Martial artists have known for years how effective it is to practice their sport. Virtually all martial arts offer a huge advantage in terms of calorie burning and improved endurance compared to many other sports.
Punching bags & more!
The days when martial arts were viewed negatively are long gone. These days, you can practice some form of martial arts or martial arts-related sport at almost any gym once or several times a week.
Bag training is not only very healthy ; it's also a lot of fun and a great outlet for the daily grind.
Boxing Bag training involves performing kicking and punching combinations at a brisk pace on a punching bag or standing punching bag. The goal isn't to hit the bag as hard as possible, but rather to maintain a nice rhythmic pace and work up a sweat.
What do you need?
Some trainers even alternate the bag exercises with exercises in between, like sit-ups and push-ups. This makes your workout even more complete and helps you reach your fitness goals even faster!
In short, boxing bag workouts are the way to burn a lot of calories and get in top shape quickly. The workouts are tough, but offer enormous satisfaction and a great feeling afterward.
Special bag gloves are available for bag training, but many people choose to wear regular boxing gloves. These won't last as long on the bag, but they do offer more protection and a more comfortable fit.
Making a proper fist in a bag glove can sometimes be difficult due to the fit. Rival bag gloves overcome this and are by far our favorite.
MMA gloves are also sometimes used in boxing bag training. These are nice and small, breathe better because of the open palm, and make it easy to make a proper fist.
Training at home
Of course, you can also easily train on a punching bag at home. If you have a separate room, a spot in the garden, or an attic, it's perfect. Put on some good music and let loose.
Most people purchase either a standing punching bag or a traditional punching bag for their home. We offer punching bags in three sizes: 120 cm, 150 cm, and 180 cm.
The smallest 120 cm bag is only suitable for hand techniques and punches. You can also perform low and high kicks (low kicks and high kicks) on the larger bags.
Of course, the bigger the punching bag, the heavier it is. This also means that the heavier the bag, the less it will sway.
The price difference between the bags is small, so if you have the luxury of being able to fit a large one in terms of size and the load-bearing capacity of your walls or ceiling, it's best to just go for the largest one.
However, the 150 cm punching bag is also perfectly suitable for home use and is therefore the most commonly purchased.
Of course, we also have the necessary accessories for installing the punching bag, such as wall brackets, ceiling rings and springs to dampen the sound.
