Hayabusa boxing gloves: Dual-X closure

Hayabusa revolutionized the market for boxing gloves, MMA gloves, and kickboxing gloves with the introduction of the amazing, unique, and patented Dual-X closure.

This fantastic closure method is appreciated by almost everyone. This closure is exclusive to the T3 and T3 LX models from Hayabusa. The closure consists of two sturdy elastics that close in opposite directions.

This provides an enormous stability around the wrists and support for the wrists and forearms. This makes these boxing gloves suitable for experienced boxers and kickboxers, but also for beginners who seek strong support in a boxing or kickboxing glove.

Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves: a great experience

The T3 is by far the most popular model of Hayabusa boxing gloves. These boxing gloves are the result of studies at American universities, gyms, boxing trainers, and professional fighters.

The Hayabusa T3 kickboxing gloves are a further development of the already excellent predecessor: the Hayabusa Kanpeki boxing gloves. The T3 line started with only a limited number of colors and variations.

Due to unprecedented popularity, this model is now available in 14 different colors in weights of 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz, 16 oz, and 18 oz. Fight2Win usually has almost all colors and weights in stock, and as soon as new colors are released, we are the first to receive them from the European distributor.

There is a luxury version of the T3 boxing glove on the market: The Hayabusa T3 LX boxing gloves. These leather boxing gloves are made from the finest Italian cowhide leather and come in stunning colors: Slate (gray), Crimson (red), Retro Classic (brown), Obsidian (anthracite/black), and Obsidian-Gold (anthracite/black-gold). Furthermore, this top line has the same excellent qualities as the regular T3 models.

Frequently Asked Questions — Hayabusa boxing gloves

Are all Hayabusa boxing gloves made of leather?

No.

Not all Hayabusa gloves are made of genuine leather. The 'regular' T3 models are made of Vylar-2, a synthetic leather of the highest quality.

Vylar-2 synthetic leather is scientifically proven to be almost 30% stronger than regular leather. These Hayabusa boxing gloves will therefore definitely not fall short compared to genuine leather boxing gloves. In addition, the color of Vylar-2 synthetic leather remains better and no cracks appear in the synthetic leather.

Besides the regular T3 models, there are the T3 Kanpeki models. These are made of 100% leather.

Top models are the Hayabusa T3 LX. These are made of 100% luxury Italian full-grain leather . Italian full-grain leather is the most durable and wear-resistant type of leather because it retains the full grain structure.

The mid-segment E1 models are also available in both synthetic and 100% leather versions. We offer, among others, the Hayabusa E1 in leather version.

Where are the gloves from Hayabusa made?

Hayabusa is a Canadian brand. Design and development take place here.

The production of materials takes place in factories with high Quality Control in Asia. Among others in China, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

Can I use Hayabusa boxing gloves for kickboxing or thai boxing?

Yes.

Hayabusa boxing gloves are suitable for (Western) boxing, kickboxing, and thai boxing (Muay Thai).

They are also used in Krav Maga and MMA (stand-up fighting).

Hayabusa originally is a brand with a background in MMA. Boxing gloves play an important role in the stand-up fighting part there.

What size Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves do I need?

Boxing gloves are not sized by "normal" sizes, but by weight expressed in ounces (oz).

For every brand and model of boxing glove on our website, there is a unique size chart (at the size selection and at the bottom under the content). Here we provide the best possible guideline for what we think is the best choice for you for that specific model.

The rule of thumb is: “the heavier the person in question, the heavier the glove to be used is desired”. A heavier boxing glove generally has more padding and is therefore safer for the hands and the training partner. Trainers generally prefer you to have heavier boxing gloves rather than lighter ones.

In short, youth train with boxing gloves of 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10 oz. Women usually choose 12 oz or 14 oz and men often do best to choose a 14 oz or 16 oz.

Target groups

4 oz – 10 oz = Children’s sizes
10 oz – 12 oz = Junior and Women
14 oz – 16 oz = Men

What kind of padding do Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves have?

The Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves are made of multi-layer Deltra-EG™ foam for ultimate knuckle protection and are lined with temperature-regulating AG™ material to keep the hands cool.

How does the Dual-X closure of Hayabusa work?

Hayabusa has developed the patented Dual-X™ closure system for an adjustable fit and ensures that boxers' hands and wrists remain properly aligned to prevent injuries. This system offers a similar feel to lace closures without needing someone else to tie your gloves.

The Dual-X straps work together with our Fusion Splinting Technology to create a system unlike any other on the market. Dual-X plus Fusion Splinting provides superior wrist support and hand protection. Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves maintain 99.7% of the anatomical alignment of the hands and wrists.

That means when you put your hands into a pair of Hayabusa boxing gloves and secure yourself, you deliver punches with well-aligned hands and wrists, preventing injuries. Achieving the highest level of wrist support and hand protection means doing more than anyone else. It means innovating.

All Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves feature the Dual-X™ closure system and Fusion Splinting™.

How can I best maintain my Hayabusa boxing gloves?

Boxing gloves have a limited lifespan. After all, they are a product that is used for hitting, and boxing gloves often take a lot of wear and tear.

Of course, you can influence their lifespan yourself by taking good care of your boxing gloves properly and maintaining them. Don’t just throw them in a corner; take them out of your sports bag and let them dry properly (not in direct sunlight).

What is the background of the brand Hayabusa?

Hayabusa (pronounced Ha-Ja-Boe-Sa) is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon, the fastest animal on earth (a bird of prey recorded at over 500 km per hour in a dive). The company was founded in 2006 by Ken & Craig Clement, David Zikakis, and Luke Harris and has since literally taken off tremendously.

Hayabusa has its headquarters in Ontario (Canada) and the global distribution center in the heart of Las Vegas (United States). Not coincidentally, this is also where the biggest boxing matches and UFC events take place. Hayabusa also has two exclusive contracts with independent sports centers in Canada, where all Hayabusa products are thoroughly tested.

Hayabusa aims to offer the best materials in terms of comfort, fit, anatomy, and even more importantly: performance and safety! A martial artist is constantly improving and developing themselves. This is a Japanese philosophy also applied in business management and at Hayabusa: Kaizen. It is the concept of “continuous improvement.”

Is Hayabusa's Vylar-2 as good as genuine leather?

Vylar-2 synthetic leather is scientifically proven to be almost30% stronger than regular leather. These Hayabusa boxing gloves will definitely not fall short compared to real leather boxing gloves. Additionally, the color of Vylar-2 synthetic leather stays better and no cracks form in the synthetic leather.
