Specific features

  • + Lace-up closure for a customized fit

A lace-up closure provides a fully adjustable fit that adapts to the individual user.

By precisely adjusting the laces, boxing gloves, groinguards and headgear fit exactly as desired, enhancing comfort and stability during intense sessions.

  • + Chin strap for a perfect fit

A strap under the chin provides a secure and precisely adjustable fit for the headgear.

The strap prevents shifting during intense sessions and ensures that the headgear always stays in the correct position .

  • + Large cheekbone protectors

The large cheekbone protectors provide extra coverage for one of the most vulnerable areas during sparren. They protrude farther than standard headgear, better absorbing punches from the side and at an angle.

Especially during intense sparren, protecting the cheekbones is crucial - an inadequately protected cheekbone can lead to pain and injuries that put training on hold for weeks. Large cheekbone protectors are a deliberate choice for athletes who do not want to take risks.

  • + Microfiber inner lining for comfort

The microfiber lining is soft, breathable, and comfortable against the skin. The material absorbs moisture during training and dries quickly, keeping the gear fresh and preventing irritation - even during prolonged use. is zacht, ademend en aangenaam tegen de huid. Het materiaal absorbeert vocht tijdens de training en droogt snel, waardoor de gear fris blijft en irritatie wordt voorkomen - ook bij langdurig gebruik.

  • + Ergonomic protection for the back of the head

The ergonomic occipital protection is anatomically shaped and closely follows the contours of the head.

This ensures a stable fit, prevents shifting during sparring, and provides targeted protection for a vulnerable area that is often overlooked in standard headgear.

  • + Printed and embroidered Rival graphics

Rival products feature printed and embroidered graphics that enhance the brand's premium appearance. The combination of printing and embroidery provides a finish that stays sharp - even after intensive use, sweat, and repeated washing.

Where cheaper brands opt for simple stickers or superficial prints that fade quickly, Rival invests in a durable graphic finish that keeps the product's identity visible for a long time. A sign of quality that you truly appreciate after many hours of training.

Intelli-Shock D3O™ Intelli-Shock D3O™

Intelli-Shock D3O™ is the world’s best shock-absorbing padding Rival was the first, and remains the only, company in the boxing and MMA world to use it.

With approximately 6 mm of Intelli-Shock padding you get the same protection as with approximately 25 mm of other padding. This is because it uses Intelligent Shock Absorption™ — at low speeds, the molecules move freely (soft and flexible); at high speeds, they lock together (excellent shock absorption).

The RB10 Intelli-Shock boxing gloves harden upon contact. This reduces impact load by 40%* and makes the glove approximately 38% lighter than regular boxing gloves with gel technology.

What does Intelli-Shock D3O™ mean?

Intelli-Shock is Rival's name for the use of D3O material in products equipped with it. The D3O layer is part of the padding construction; the overall construction varies by model.

Do not compare the thickness of a single material directly with a completely different foam construction. Claims about percentage reductions in impact or weight, or increases in lifespan, require supporting tests and do not automatically apply to every product. Check the specific Rival model and its intended use.
