    What size Twins Special BGVL boxing gloves do I need?

    Boxing gloves are not sized according to “regular” sizes, but by weight, expressed in ounces (oz).

    Every brand and model of boxing glove on our website has a unique size chart (next to the size selection and at the bottom of the content). Here, we provide the best possible guideline on what we think is the best choice for you. for that specific model.

    The rule of thumb is: “the heavier the person in question, the heavier the glove they should use”. A heavier boxing glove generally has more padding and is therefore safer for both the hands and the training partner. Trainers generally also prefer you to have heavier boxing gloves rather than lighter ones.

    In short, youths train with 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10 oz boxing gloves. Women usually choose 12 oz or 14 oz and men often do best choosing 14 oz or 16 oz. doen er vaak het beste aan te kiezen voor een 14 oz of 16 oz.

    Twins boxing gloves generally have a roomy fit and are suitable for both wide and regular hands. Although Twins boxing gloves have a fairly wide fit, they are also suitable for people with "regular" hands. There is enough room to wrap your handwraps properly. 

    They are known for their somewhat

    larger padding size. Our experience is that Twins gloves feel tight at first (which is normal), but become considerably roomier (stretch out) with use.

    Onze ervaring is dat in het begin Twins strak aanvoelen (wat normaal is), maar dat ze behoorlijk ruimer worden (uitlopen) met gebruik.
