Boil water in a saucepan (or kettle), then remove it from the heat for a few seconds. Next, place the mouthguard in the water briefly until it softens.

Then place it over the upper row of teeth and gently bite down with your lower jaw. Use your fingers to press against the gums so the shape forms well. It is also important to lightly suck while doing this.
