Children usually train with 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10 oz boxing gloves. Very occasionally, for very young children, there are even 2 oz or 4 oz gloves.

up to 4–5 years – 4 oz

The rule of thumb is: “the heavier the child in question, the heavier the boxing glove should be”. A heavier boxing glove generally has more padding and is therefore safer for the hands and the training partner.
