Black and gold give the Rival RPM11 Evolution Punch Mitts a luxurious, professional appearance. But as soon as the first combination lands, you notice that these punching mitts are built primarily to perform. The ergonomic fit, compact shape and solid impact absorption give trainers the control to build a session that is both technical and intense.

You hold the gold striking surface forward, catch the first jab and immediately turn through to an angle. The pre-curved shape helps receive the punch naturally, while the mitt stays securely around your hand as the pace increases.

A compact target for sharp combinations

The small, oval striking surface has a pre-curved semi-parabolic shape. This gives the RPM11 a natural catching shape for straight punches, angles and fast combinations. The high-density, multi-layer foam padding is designed to absorb the impact of powerful punches.

Comfort that lasts through a tough session

The ergonomic hand compartment combines breathable mesh with a soft, foam-like textile lining. The Nash palm and grip enhancement support a stable hand position. A padded mesh finger protector shields the fingers, while the padded wrist support and adjustable Hook & Loop strap keep the punching mitt securely in place.

Black-and-gold finish in Super-Rich Microfibre

The supple outer layer of Super-Rich Microfibre is developed for intensive use. The combination of black with gold details gives this version a distinctive appearance. Printed and embroidered Rival graphics and the silicone patch on the wrist strap complete the design.

What is the difference between punching mitts, focus pads, Thai pads, and kicking shields?

Punching mitts, also known as  focus pads , are  compact pads that are held by a  trainer during a training session. The terms punching mitts and focus pads are used interchangeably. However, in our opinion, there are subtle differences between them, which is why our website distinguishes between them. Punching mitts are primarily intended for punches and punching techniques.

Thai pads, also known as  kickpads or  pao, are larger pads held by a trainer to practise both punches and kicks.

Punching shields are usually large, round cushions that the trainer or partner holds in front of the body. They are especially suitable for various punching techniques, including hooks, liver punches, and uppercuts.

Kicking shields are the really large cushions for punching and kicking. They are ideal for  beginners and children who, frankly, cannot yet aim very well. They are also very suitable for advanced practitioners, as these pads allow them to practise their technique at  full power .
