Specific features

DUAL-X™ CLOSURE SYSTEM DUAL-X™ CLOSURE SYSTEM

The dual-directional belt closure ensures a perfect fit, better wrist protection, and maximum punching power.

Hayabusa's Dual-X closure system is unrivaled when it comes to stabilizing the hand and wrist for optimal performance and protection. Martial artists are at risk of hand and wrist injuries both during training and competition.

Hayabusa's patented Dual-X closure system ensures perfect ergonomic alignment of the hands and wrists.

    FUSION SPLINTING™ FUSION SPLINTING™

Back-of-hand protection for perfect wrist alignment and injury prevention.

This advanced technology works with the Dual-X closure system to support hand and wrist alignment. It does so through a firm, semi-rigid inner core in the glove, designed to conform to the natural physiology of your hand and wrist.

This support system provides optimal, stable ergonomics for athletes of all levels. Scientific research at universities has shown that this advanced design offers superior performance and protection.

    DELTRA-EG™ DELTRA-EG™

A highly resilient complex for superior glove performance and durability.

In a multiyear collaboration, researchers from the University of Waterloo tested and analyzed countless samples of both new and existing materials, comparing various gloves.

Hayabusa's design team and engineers worked with the researchers to characterize the internal complexes using an advanced impact device with a force sensor. This enabled thousands of repeated impact cycles.

The data and analyses enabled us to configure equipment that optimally manipulates impact energy, improves the glove's recovery capability, increases durability, and ultimately delivers superior impact properties and the very best protection.

    CRUSH ZONE™ CRUSH ZONE™

A force distribution system that ensures optimal shock absorption.

Crumple zones in vehicles are crucial for occupant safety. This system redistributes the forces released during a collision and acts as a shock absorber that absorbs energy.

Hayabusa applies a similar innovation in Crush Zone™ technology to withstand and absorb the force of an impact and its associated kinetic energy.

By optimizing the balance between force distribution and impact resistance, a high-performance system has been created that can both deform upon impact and return to its original shape.

VYLAR®-2 ENGINEERED LEATHER VYLAR®-2 ENGINEERED LEATHER

    Textile with unparalleled durability.

Independent testing projects at the University of Cincinnati received funding to select the best materials for the outer covering of combat equipment. After a series of tests, one material, Vylar®, proved superior under extreme conditions.

Because combat equipment is subjected to enormous stress during intensive training and fights, these findings were crucial to the choice of material. From flexibility and abrasion resistance to tear and crack resistance, Vylar proved superior and was the clear choice.

    AG™ FABRIC FEATURING X-STATIC® XT2® AG™ FABRIC FEATURING X-STATIC® XT2®

Hayabusa's high-quality gear is made with AG™ material and features X-Static® XT2® technology, which quickly wicks away sweat to effectively regulate your body's core temperature.

As a result, you will notice a significant improvement in performance, as you can achieve an even higher level of flexibility, strength, and speed.

Independent tests, conducted with an advanced FLIR E-Series digital thermal imaging camera, have demonstrated the superior thermoregulatory performance of Hayabusa gear.

The exclusive AG material lining uses XT2 technology: a scientifically tested and proven antimicrobial technology with odor-resistant and antibacterial properties.

ERGONOMIC THUMB WITH ADDED SWEATX ™ THUMB ERGONOMIC THUMB WITH ADDED SWEATX ™ THUMB

Hayabusa gloves feature an optimized, ergonomic thumb area, positioned to prevent uncomfortable strain on both the thumb and wrist.

This functional element is also finished with ultra-soft microfiber suede for unparalleled moisture management.

    Tips for Hayabusa boxing gloves

It is recommended to always use handwraps with your Hayabusa gloves. In addition to supporting your hands, they also absorb a lot of sweat.

A disinfectant spray and a deodorizer- to help your gloves dry faster - are also highly recommended to keep your boxing gloves fresh and in good condition.

Frequently Asked Questions — Boxing gloves Hayabusa T3 Navy Blue

Is Hayabusa’s Vylar-2 just as good as genuine leather?

Vylar-2 synthetic leather is scientifically proven to be up to nearly30% stronger than regular leather. These Hayabusa boxing gloves will therefore certainly not fall short of genuine leather boxing gloves. In addition, Vylar-2 synthetic leather retains its color better and does not develop cracks.

What is the background of the Hayabusa brand?

Hayabusa (pronounced Ha-Ja-Boe-Sa) is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon, the fastest animal on Earth (a bird of prey recorded at over 500 km/h in a dive). The company was founded in 2006 by Ken & Craig Clement, David Zikakis and Luke Harris and has literally taken flight ever since.

Hayabusa is headquartered in Ontario (Canada) and has its global distribution centre in the heart of Las Vegas (United States). Not entirely coincidentally, this is also where the biggest boxing matches and UFC events take place. Hayabusa also has two exclusive contracts with independent sports centres in Canada, where all Hayabusa products are extensively tested.

Hayabusa aims to offer the best materials in terms of comfort, fit, anatomy and, more importantly, performance and safety! A martial artist is constantly improving and developing themselves. This is a Japanese philosophy that is also applied in business and at Hayabusa: Kaizen. This is the concept of “continuous improvement.

How can I best maintain my Hayabusa boxing gloves?

Boxing gloves have a limited lifespan. After all, they are used for hitting, and boxing gloves often take quite a beating.

Of course, you can influence their lifespan yourself by treating them with care and boxing gloves properly care for them. Don’t throw them in a corner; take them out of your sports bag and let them dry properly (not in direct sunlight).

How does the Hayabusa Dual-X closure work?

Hayabusa has developed the patented Dual-X™ closure system for an adjustable fit and ensures that boxers’ hands and wrists remain properly aligned to prevent injuries. This system offers a feel similar to lace-up closures, without requiring someone else to fasten your gloves.

The Dual-X straps work together with our Fusion Splinting Technology to create a system unlike any other on the market. Dual-X plus Fusion Splinting provides superior wrist support and hand protection. Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves maintain 99.7% of the anatomical alignment of the hands and wrists.

That means that when you put your hands into a pair of Hayabusa boxing gloves and secure them, you deliver punches with properly aligned hands and wrists, helping to prevent injuries. Achieving the highest level of wrist support and hand protection means doing more than everyone else. It means innovating.

All Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves feature the Dual-X™ closure system and Fusion Splinting™.

What type of padding do Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves have?

The Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves are made with multilayer Deltra-EG™ foam for ultimate knuckle protection and lined with temperature-regulating AG™ material to keep your hands cool.

What size Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves do I need?

Boxing gloves do not come in “standard” sizes; their size is expressed in ounces (oz).

For every brand and model of boxing glove on our website, there is a unique size chart (next to the size selection and at the bottom in the content). Here, we provide the best possible guideline for what we believe is the best choice for you for that specific model.

The rule of thumb is: “the heavier the person in question, the heavier the glove they should use”. A heavier boxing glove generally has more padding and is therefore safer for both the hands and the training partner. Trainers also generally prefer you to have heavier boxing gloves rather than lighter ones.

In short, young people train jeugd with 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10 oz boxing gloves. Women usually choose 12 oz or 14 oz, while men often do best choosing 14 oz or 16 oz.

    Target groups

    4 oz – 10 oz = Children’s sizes
    10 oz – 12 oz = Juniors and women
    14 oz – 16 oz = Men
