This version combines a sleek, high-contrast appearance with the protection trainers need during intensive training.

The punching mitts measure 26 x 19 x 5 cm and weigh 732 grams per pair. They are Designed in Canada by Rival Boxing Gear.

Intelli-Shock D3O™ is incorporated into the striking surface. This material remains flexible while moving and reacts at the moment of impact, helping to absorb the force of jabs, hooks, and combinations more effectively. This allows you as a trainer to stay focused on technique and pace for longer, even when the intensity increases.

Firm control without a stiff feel

The microfiber exterior is designed for regular and intensive use. Thanks to the Hook & Loop fastener, you can adjust the punching mitts securely around your hands so they stay firmly in place during fast combinations. The black-and-white design also makes the striking surfaces clearly visible to the boxer.

With approximately 6 mm of Intelli-Shock padding you get the same protection as with approximately 25 mm of other padding. What is the difference between punching mitts, focus pads, Thai pads, and kicking shields?

Punching mitts, also known as  focus pads , are  compact pads that are held by a  trainer during a training session. The terms punching mitts and focus pads are used interchangeably. However, in our opinion, there are subtle differences between them, which is why our website distinguishes between them. Punching mitts are primarily intended for punches and punching techniques.

Thai pads, also known as  kickpads or  pao, are larger pads held by a trainer to practise both punches and kicks.

Punching shields are usually large, round cushions that the trainer or partner holds in front of the body. They are especially suitable for various punching techniques, including hooks, liver punches, and uppercuts.

Kicking shields are the really large cushions for punching and kicking. They are ideal for  beginners and children who, frankly, cannot yet aim very well. They are also very suitable for advanced practitioners, as these pads allow them to practise their technique at  full power .
