Boxing gloves with laces

The end of the laces is then tied around the wrist of the lace boxing glove. Boxing gloves with lace-up closure are usually almost identical to gloves with a (easier) velcro closure.

Benefits of boxing gloves with laces:

• Close, secure and comfortable fit around the wrist
• Mostly padded wrists for increased comfort
  
• Cuff around the wrists feels more streamlined and less bulky
• No risk of scratches from Velcro for opponents

Disadvantages of boxing gloves with laces:

• Need help from another person to tie
• Slower to put on and take off, so not ideal for shorter workouts
• Lace ends can cut opponents
