Take your Rival gear out of your gym bag right after training. Wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth and let everything air-dry in a cool, shady, well-ventilated place.

For cleaning, use only mild cleaning products or sprays made specifically for sports gear and suitable for the material. A deodorizer, such as a glove dog, and a suitable sports spray help keep your gloves fresh.

Do not use a washing machine or dryer, and avoid direct sunlight, heaters and hot cars. Do not apply petroleum jelly, oil, leather grease or heavy creams, even to leather gear. Store your gear in a dry place.

Super Rich is Rival's synthetic microfiber covering, designed as an alternative to leather. The material is practical for regular training and does not need to be treated with leather grease. The lifespan of the entire glove also depends on the stitching, padding, how it is used, and proper drying. The material name alone therefore does not tell you which glove will last the longest.

Oz is short for ounce, a unit of weight. One ounce is approximately 28.35 grams. For boxing gloves, the oz designation indicates a glove’s nominal weight class.

Oz is not a standardized hand size and does not tell you exactly how much padding a glove has. Gloves of the same weight can differ in hand space, padding distribution and intended use. For MMA gloves, you often choose the hand size separately, for example S, M or L.

Many boxing gloves can also be used for kickboxing. So the collection name alone does not determine whether a model is right for you. Focus on comparing the hand space, padding and wrist closure.

Boxing focuses on punching and keeping your guard up. In kickboxing and Muay Thai, blocking kicks and possibly clinching also come into play. Choose the design that feels comfortable for your training.

Choose the weight class using the size chart and instructions for the specific model. Also consider your hand size, the room needed for handwraps, and the type of training you want to use the gloves for.

The oz rating is not a standardized hand size. A higher number does not automatically mean more room for your hand or a safer glove for every type of training. Don't choose based on gender or age alone. For sparren, the model's intended use and the agreed training rules are important.

Not for every use. Laces let you adjust the closure across more of the cuff. Velcro is usually more practical if you want to put on your gloves quickly by yourself or need to take them off during training.

The overall fit also depends on the cuff, the hand compartment and the model's construction. A lace-up closure does not automatically make two different gloves equivalent. Tuck away laces and Velcro carefully so they cannot scratch your training partner.

The wrist of the gloves with Conic Cuff Design is set at a 15-degree angle so that it follows the natural

angle of a boxer's hand. With this detail in mind, the conical design has been incorporated into Rival boxing gloves. Look at the back of your hand: you'll notice that the line from the top of your little finger to your wrist runs diagonally, and there is another angle from your wrist to your forearm. Unlike most other manufacturers, our boxing glove design takes this into account.

Because the wrist of the boxing gloves with Conic Cuff Design is narrower than the edge of the glove that fits around the forearm, these gloves fit a boxer's wrist better,providing maximum comfort, stability, and performance!

The Angled Ergo Lace Track System is Rival's design for the lacing path around the wrist. The angled placement affects how you close the cuff and distribute tension.

Ergo Lace Track and later Angled Lace Track versions are not necessarily the same design. Check which version the specific Rival model has. The name does not guarantee a perfect fit or a longer lifespan than every other glove.
