• Always use clean handwraps, gelwraps, or inner gloves
• Take them out of your bag immediately after training
• Wipe the outside with a clean, dry cloth
• Use a deodorizer to help your boxing gloves dry faster and more thoroughly on the inside
• Store them in a cool, dry place with good natural ventilation
• If necessary, use an antibacterial spray
• For leather Rival boxing gloves: use leather grease/leather conditioner once a month to prevent cracking and drying out

There are not really any women's boxing gloves. Boxing gloves are unisex, but women usually simply choose a lighter boxing glove (read: smaller size). These are available in various color combinations.

Women generally have somewhat narrower hands than men, so it is better not to choose an overly heavy boxing glove. We have made a separate selection within our range of boxing gloves that are more suitable for women due to their fit.

There are some minor differences, but in practice, you can use boxing gloves for kickboxing and kickboxing gloves for boxing.

Although modern systems with hook-and-loop fasteners that come close to matching a lace-up closure are available today, a traditional lace-up closure remains the best way to properly close and secure a boxing glove.

Lace-up boxing gloves are usually fastened with a single lace that crosses both sides. The lace is then pulled tight so that the gloves fit snugly.

The ends of the laces are then tied around the wrist section of the lace-up boxing glove. Boxing gloves with a lace-up closure are otherwise usually nearly identical to gloves with an (easier) hook-and-loop closure. 

Advantages of lace-up boxing gloves:
