Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman for the WBA and WBC World Heavyweight Championship. Held in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the DRC), and promoted by Don King. Ali used his famous “Rope-a-Dope” strategy to tire Foreman before knocking him out in the 8th round. Widely regarded as the greatest sporting event of the 20th century.

Widely regarded as the greatest boxing match and one of the greatest sporting events in history. Muhammad Ali reclaimed the Heavyweight Championship of the World using his legendary Rope-a-Dope strategy, absorbing Foreman's power shots before knocking him out in the 8th round. Held in Kinshasa, Zaire — a political statement as much as a sporting event — it became a symbol of Black pride, African identity and Ali's cultural legacy beyond boxing. Immortalised in the 1996 documentary 'When We Were Kings'.
