Aurélie Le Vern is a French Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete from French Guiana with a background in judo and the inaugural UFC BJJ Women’s Featherweight Champion.

The story

Le Vern initially worked as a physical education teacher and moved to French Guiana in 2017. There, she began practicing judo and soon switched to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Six Blades under Tyrone Gonsalves, who became her head coach and husband. In January 2023, she received her black belt, after which she focused entirely on competition.

As a black belt, Le Vern won bronze at the 2023 IBJJF World Championship and Pan American Championship, followed by gold at the 2024 IBJJF European Championship. She became the inaugural UFC BJJ Women’s Featherweight Champion by defeating Raquel Canuto via kimura, earning a Submission of the Night bonus.
