Jarosław Suska

Jarosław Suska (born 20 September 1972) is a Polish ITF Taekwon-Do legend and the most technically accomplished patterns (Tul) practitioner in the history of the sport. His mastery of Sine Wave, his precision and his physical expression on the tatami were so complete that General Choi Hong Hi himself used Suska as the live demonstration model at international courses—the human blueprint for how ITF technique should look. He began his Taekwon-Do journey in 1985 under the guidance of Polish Grandmaster Jerzy Jedut (9th Dan) at MKS Lewart AGS Lubartow. What followed was a competitive career without parallel in the history of ITF patterns. He won the individual gold medal at the ITF World Championships six times: 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. He won 20 individual European titles and 21 Polish national titles—in a country that is one of the strongest ITF nations on the planet. Where others in the sport built their reputation on sparring power, Suska reached a different kind of authority—the kind that comes from making every movement look inevitable. His control of the Sine Wave undulating motion, the defining biomechanical principle of ITF Taekwon-Do, became the reference point by which other practitioners measured themselves. After his competitive career, he returned full-time to MKS Lewart AGS Lubartow as head coach and trainer. Under his guidance, Poland has remained a dominant force within the All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation. He travels continuously as an official ITF ambassador, delivering technical seminars to the next generation of black belts worldwide. He currently holds the rank of 8th Dan Master.
