Belarusian Boxing Federation

The Belarusian Boxing Federation (BFB) is the national boxing association of White Russia. The federation was established as a civic association, has its office in Minsk and operates with six regional branches.

The organization

Profile

The federation's president is Aleksandr Botvinnik, with Aleksandr Parchomchik as first deputy president and Aleksandr Baraoelja and Vsevolod Beljajev as deputy presidents. Svetlana Naoumchik is secretary-general and also executive director.

In addition to the twelve-member presidium, the association has a coaches' council headed by Magomed Aripgadzhiev, a referees' panel headed by Aleksandr Jermashevich, a veterans' council headed by Valeri Aleksandrov, and an audit committee. Yegor Steshik is the national team's state coach, and Jermashevich is head coach. There is also a supervisory board chaired by Pyotr Parchomchik.

Activities and role

The federation assembles the national men's and women's teams, with its own staff of trainers and specialists, and publishes news, documents, and an overview of the boxing schools in the country.

Belarusian boxers compete at European and world championships in all age categories. Recent results include silver for Aleksej Alfjorov at the men's World Championships and European Championships, bronze for Arina Danieltsjik at the women's World Championships, and bronze for Andrej Roemjantsev at the U17-18 World Championships in Budva. Domestically, the federation organizes an open republican tournament and a women's boxing competition, among other events.

Membership and participation

Belarus is registered with both World Boxing and European Boxing as an endorsed member, and therefore not as a full member. Aliaksandr Batvinnik is listed as president of European Boxing.

Within Belarus, the federation consists of six regional divisions: the regions of Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno and Mogilev, and the city of Minsk, each with its own president. Clubs and members join by submitting an application and paying the federation's membership fee.
