Czech Boxing Association

The ČBA organizes the Czech Championships for men, women, juniors and cadets, and manages the competition system with the Extraliga, the national boxing competition, the first division and the regional competitions that qualify for the national championships.

The federation also provides coach training through nationwide courses and continuing education, oversees refereeing, boxer registration, anti-doping policy, and weight and age categories. The federation follows the competition rules of World Boxing and publishes statutes, guidelines, annual reports and reports of general meetings.

Its international activities include the Grand Prix of Ústí nad Labem, held in 2026 as the European Cup Gold Grand Prix, where the Czech team finished third in the team standings behind, among others, India, as well as participation in European Championships, World Championships and the European Games. The Under-19 European Championships were held in Ostrava.

The Czech Republic is registered with European Boxing as a full member. On its own website, the federation lists both European Boxing and the European boxing confederation EUBC as well as World Boxing and the IBA as partners, and refers to World Boxing for the competition rules. Nationally, the ČBA is affiliated with the Czech Sports Union and the Czech Olympic Committee.

Within the Czech Republic, the federation consists of four regional divisions: the Bohemian, North Bohemian, South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian boxing regions, each with its own president and deputies. Rudolf Kraj leads the Bohemian region, Václav Fiala the North Bohemian region, Martin Klíč the South Moravian region and Dalibor Mouka the Moravian-Silesian region.

In 2025, Prague hosted the founding congress of European Boxing, with the Czech federation playing a role in the formation of the new European governing body.

At the 2026 European Elite Championships in Sofia, a mixed team competed, including Lenka Bernardová, who reached the quarterfinals, Monika Langerová, Stella Blažková, Barbora Maxová, Daniel Florián and Kelvin Soquessa. Women’s boxing thus occupies a visible place within the national team.
