Boxing Association of Montenegro

The federation organizes the Bokserska liga Crne Gore, the national competition held over six rounds per season and fully documented on the website since 2021, alongside the annual competition calendar.

It maintains public registers of clubs, trainers, referees, supervisors, and boxers; publishes the international regulations alongside its own rules, documentation, and annual reports; and describes the procedure for establishing a club. It also has standing committees and a technical staff for the national team.

Montenegro has also served as the host country: it organized the European Under-15 Championships in 2025 and had previously hosted European youth championships.

The association is registered with World Boxing as Boxing Association of Montenegro with the status full member, with Aleksandar Klemenko and Marija Čivović as contact persons. Montenegro is also a full member of European Boxing .

The federation keeps a complete overview of all Montenegrin medal winners. At the World Championships, these include Miodrag Perunović with silver in the senior division in 1978, Nikola Sjekloća with bronze in Thailand in 2003 and Petar Liješević with silver in the youth division in Poland in 2021.

At the European Championships, the list is much longer. Perunović became European champion in the senior division in Finland in 1979 and won silver in 1981. Ratko Drašković won junior gold in 1984, and in 2000 Nikola Sjekloća and Milorad Gajović both won senior bronze.

The recent generation is the most successful. Bojana Gojković won four European titles between 2018 and 2021 and senior silver in 2022, Tamara Radunović won senior bronze in 2022, and Mirko Šarčević won youth gold in Armenia in 2023. Remarkably, many of these medals were won at home.

There is also international recognition outside the ring: referee Blažo Jabučanin was invited by World Boxing and the Asian federation to the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. At the 2026 European Championships in Sofia, Tomislav-Bato Đinović and Miloš Roganović were eliminated in the round of 32.
