The Polski Związek Bokserski (PZB) is Poland's national boxing association. The association governs both amateur and professional boxing, selects the national teams, and oversees sixteen regional boxing associations. Its headquarters are located in Warsaw. (PZB) is de nationale boksbond van Polen. De bond bestuurt zowel het amateur- als het profboksen, stelt de nationale selecties samen en overkoepelt zestien regionale boksverbonden. Het bondsbureau is gevestigd in Warschau.

The organization

Profile

The PZB is the umbrella organization for organized boxing in Poland. The association manages licenses for boxers, trainers and officials, accreditations and trainer courses, and publishes competition regulations, announcements and results.

The board is headed by president Grzegorz Nowaczek. Alongside him, the board includes vice presidents for organization and development (Maciej Demel), education (Krzysztof Sadłoń), finance (Mieczysław Gołąb), professional boxing (Piotr Snopkowski), international affairs (Roman Ślagowski) and refereeing matters (Sławomir Kozłowski), supplemented by board members and an audit committee.

The work is divided among permanent departments for organization and finance, sport, education, international affairs, disciplinary matters and refereeing. The office is located at ul. Połczyńska 10, 01-378 Warsaw, telephone +48 728 885 237 and 22 500 28 69, email biuro@pzb.com.pl.

Activities and role

The PZB organizes the Polish championships and the national competition calendar, and manages the Polska Liga Boksu. In 2025, the federation hosted the Puchar Świata in Warsaw.

The national teams are structured by age category, from młodzicy and kadeci through juniorzy and the under-23s to the seniors, with separate women's teams and their own coaching staff for each category.

For youth athletes, the Akademia Boksu Olimpijskiegoprogram operates with its own application round, structure, and objectives. In addition, the federation provides coaching courses, training and examinations for referees, and an online licensing system for clubs.

Membership and participation

The PZB is a full member of World Boxing, within the Europe region, and of European Boxing, the continental federation of World Boxing. Within the refereeing department, a dedicated member has been appointed as the contact person for both organizations.

In Poland itself, the association oversees sixteen regional associations: the Dolnośląski, Kujawsko-Pomorski, Lubelski, Lubuski, Małopolski, Łódzki, Opolski, Podkarpacki, Podlaski, Pomorski, Śląski, Świętokrzyski, Warmińsko-Mazurski, Warszawsko-Mazowiecki, Wielkopolski and Zachodniopomorski Okręgowy Związek Bokserski. Clubs affiliate through their regional association.
