Romanian Boxing Federation

The federation organizes the national championships for men and women, cup tournaments, youth and children's competitions, and the national teams, including the Olympic preparation centers for juniors and youth.

In 2026, the program included the national women's championship for cadets through seniors in Eforie Nord, the Romanian Cup for seniors and U23 in Bacău, and the national U13 children's championship. The traditional international tournament Golden Belt, the Golden Belt, was held in Brăila.

Clubs from across the country are affiliated, organized by district, from Alba and Arad to Argeș, Bacău, and Bihor. The federation maintains an annual club ranking ; the 2025 ranking was led by CS Rapid București, CSM Brăila, and CSA Steaua.

Notably, the federation is transparent about governance and finances: it publishes its statutes, organizational chart, annual reports, budgets, financial statements, auditors' reports, all decisions of the board and general assembly, and a national boxing strategy 2023-2032, as well as a complaints reporting point.

With European Boxing Romania is a full member.

The federation has its own professional boxing committee with separate regulations, thereby managing both branches of the sport, just like several other European federations.

Romania has a strong boxing tradition, evident in the names now holding leadership positions. Mihai Leu heads the technical committee, and one of the clubs bears the name of Olympic champion Nicolae Linca.

In 2026, the youth team traveled to the European Championships in Serbia with the ambition of winning gold, and Iasmina Georgiana Moraru qualified for the Youth Olympic Games.
