The organization

Profile

The organization is made up of continental branches, including WKF Europe, WKF America, and the Federación Continental WKF Latino America, with national federations beneath them in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and elsewhere, each with its own section on the organization’s web domain.

It is headed by an elected president. The federation also places particular emphasis on its internationally licensed female referees and officials.

The WKF sanctions title fights with its own requirements and maintains world rankings for men and women in both kickboxing and MMA. Its programs include kickboxing, pro pointfighting, pro-am, sanda, MMA, and boxing, including bare-knuckle boxing..

The federation organizes annual world championships on rotating continents, as well as European championships, supplemented by continental cups and open tournaments that serve as qualifiers for the national teams.

Invitations and information are published in multiple languages, from Spanish and French to Russian, Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese. Through its own platform, NETFIGHT , ring fights are made available online.

The wkfworld.com website is primarily in English and, in addition to news, contains world rankings, title requirements, fighter profiles, downloads, a gallery, and an extensive poster archive of its tournaments. Registrations are handled through a separate event portal.

Please note: the abbreviation WKF is also used by the World Karate Federation, the international karate federation. This is a different organization, with its own sport and structure.
