World Tang Soo Do Association

The World Tang Soo Do Association is an international Tang Soo Do federation founded by Grandmaster Jae C. Shin on November 13 and 14, 1982, during a charter convention in Philadelphia. The organization built on the U.S. Tang Soo Do Federation, established in 1968, and has its international headquarters in Burlington, North Carolina. According to the official organization, the network comprises more than 500 studios, approximately 100,000 members in 36 countries and 24 regions. The federation promotes traditional Tang Soo Do training for children and adults, focusing on self-defense, physical fitness, discipline, character development, and respect. William Strong is the current Grandmaster.
