Accor Arena, originally the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, is an indoor sports arena and concert venue in the Bercy district of the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The venue opened in 1984 and has a capacity of 16,394 spectators for boxing. Since 1985, it has hosted the annual Festival des Arts Martiaux.

History

Construction began in February 1981, and the venue opened on 3 February 1984 as the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy. It is owned by the City of Paris.

Following renovations in 2014 and 2015, its name changed three times: Bercy Arena on 1 January 2015, AccorHotels Arena in October of that year, and Accor Arena since June 2020. The venue is still commonly known as Bercy.

Building and architecture

The design comes from the firm Andrault-Parat, together with Jean Prouvé and Aydin Guvan.

The arena is shaped like a pyramid with sloping walls covered in grass, an image that makes the building immediately recognizable in Paris.

Atmosphere and experience

The venue can be completely reconfigured and has between 7,000 and 20,300 seats, depending on the event. For boxing, there are 16,394 seats, while for tennis, handball and basketball there are 15,609, and for ice hockey 13,877.

Famous fighters

Since 1985, the arena has hosted the Festival des Arts Martiauxevery year, founded by the magazine Karaté Bushido, where martial arts masters from around the world perform. The 38th edition took place in March 2025.

In addition, the venue is the regular location for the Paris Grand Slam judo tournament and regularly hosts boxing galas.

Visitor information

Metro. Bercy station, on lines 6 and 14, is next to the arena.

Parking. The venue's own car park is located at 85 Rue de Bercy and can only be reserved online in advance. The maximum clearance is 1.90 metres. The car park is open when the venue opens and until one hour after the event ends.

Disabled access. There is a separate parking area at 8 Boulevard de Bercy, in the middle of the arena. Wheelchair spaces can be booked directly via the seating plan or by phone through the dedicated team. Bring a disability card or medical certificate.

Motorcycles and coaches. In Bercy, there are free and paid spaces for motorcycles and scooters; coaches and large vehicles can use Bercy Autocars and Parking Bercy Cars.
