Co-op Live is an indoor arena in Manchester, located on the Etihad Campus next to the City of Manchester Stadium. The venue opened in May 2024 and, with 23,500 seats, is the largest indoor arena in the United Kingdom. Just a few months after opening, the venue already hosted a numbered UFC event.

History

The plans received the green light from Manchester City Council in September 2020. The Co-operative Group came on board as a major investor that same year and gave the venue its name. Construction by BAM Construct UK began in 2021.

The arena opened on 14 May 2024 with a performance by the Mancunian band Elbow. Total costs rose to between £365 million and £450 million. The project was developed by Oak View Group together with City Football Group.

Building and architecture

The design is by Populous. The venue has the largest floor area of all indoor venues in Manchester and features 32 bars, restaurants and lounges.

Atmosphere and experience

The capacity is 20,500 seats, all seated and rises to 23,500 with standing places, making it the largest indoor arena in the country.

Famous fighters

On July 27, 2024, more than two months after the opening, the UFC held UFC 304 here UFC 304: Edwards vs. Muhammad 2.

Tram. The Etihad Campus Metrolink stop is next to the arena.
