Singapore Indoor Stadium

Construction began on January 1, 1985, and cost ninety million Singapore dollars. The building was completed in March 1987, opened to the public in July 1988, and was December 31, 1989 officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.

In 2024, the government announced plans for a new indoor arena with 18,000 seats to replace the current Indoor Stadium.

The design is by the Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, in collaboration with Raglan Squire & Partners.

The distinctive features are the conical roof and the pillar-free arena, ensuring an unobstructed view of the ring from every spot.

Thanks to the flexible stage layout, capacity ranges from 8,000 to 9,000 for concerts and 8,126 to 10,786 for sporting events. With a full seating arrangement, it accommodates 12,000 people, with a maximum capacity of 15,000.

In addition to combat sports, the program includes badminton, basketball, netball, tennis, wrestling, and esports. In 2022, the venue hosted The International, the Dota 2 World Championship.

Singaporean ONE Championship regularly holds its events here, making the venue one of the most important stages for MMA and kickboxing in Asia.

The series began on 3 September 2011 with Champion versus Champion, followed by, among others, War of the Lions in 2012, Kings and Champions in 2013, Honor and Glory in 2014, and Pride of Lions in 2015.
