Trixxo Arena

The complex was initially called the Grenslandhallen and originally comprised two halls. A study in 2000 identified a need for expansion, after which a stage tower, meeting rooms, changing rooms, and a foldable grandstand were added in 2002 in collaboration with Studio 100.

Construction of the arena began in March 2004, and the venue opened on 21 September 2004, at a cost of 11.7 million euros. In 2018, the name Grenslandhallen was changed to Park H.

The design is by Jamaer Architects. The gross floor area is 13,600 square metres.

After the Sportpaleis Group took over in 2012, extensive renovations followed, and a year later the acoustic insulation of the venue. Since the roof work was completed, events with virtually any sound spectrum can take place.

The venue is scalable and can accommodate between 4,000 and 18,000 visitors, with a maximum of over 16,000 seats or more than 21,000 standing places.

The arena is part of Park H, which also houses the Ethias Theater, Expo Hasselt and Plopsa Indoor. The owner and operator is Antwerp Sportpaleis.

In 2005, the arena hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest Junior Eurovisiesongfestival.
