Adriano Moraes

Moraes was born on April 21, 1988, in Brasília, in Brazil's Federal District. He built his foundation in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has competed in the flyweight division since 2011, with a few appearances at bantamweight.

In ONE Championship, he won the flyweight world title and defended it multiple times. He trained at Constrictor Team in Brazil and joined American Top Team in the United States in 2016.

His best-known fights form a trilogy against Demetrious Johnson, in which he defeated the American by knockout in their first meeting. He also recorded wins over, among others, Yuya Wakamatsu and Danny Kingad.

His status with ONE is listed as released.

Moraes combines a strong Brazilian jiu-jitsu ground game with finishing strikes. He wins fights both by submission and knockout, and likes to work from the clinch to the ground.
