The story

Tyson Harrison is from the Gold Coast in Australia and moved to Thailand at the age of sixteen to become a professional Muay Thai fighter. He trains at Sangtiennoi Gym north of Bangkok, where the legendary Sangtiennoi Sor Rungroj ("P'Tu") was his mentor until his death in 2021. His nickname, "John Wayne Noi", refers to the Australian Muay Thai icon John Wayne Parr.
In January 2023, Harrison made his ONE Friday Fights debut against Seksan Or. Kwanmuang and became one of the series' fan favorites. At ONE, he has a 4-4 record, with three of his four wins coming inside the distance. He won by first-round TKO against Kendu Irving (ONE Friday Fights 117). He lost his most recent bout by knockout to Parham Gheirati (ONE Friday Fights 127). On October 9, 2026, he will face Sweden's Linus Bylander at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
