Wang Cong, nicknamed “The Joker”, is a Chinese MMA fighter with a successful background in sanda and amateur boxing. After her UFC debut, she quickly established herself as a strong contender in the women’s flyweight division and has been selected to fight for the vacant UFC title.

The story

Before her MMA career, Wang Cong won major sanda titles and took silver at the amateur boxing world championships. She also became a Kunlun Fight champion and won the Legend of Mulan tournament in 2018.

On August 24, 2024, she made her UFC debut with a knockout victory over Victoria Leonardo and a Performance of the Night bonus. After a loss to Gabriella Fernandes, she won three fights in a row against Bruna Brasil, Ariane Lipski, and Tracy Cortez. As of September 12, 2026, her professional record stood at 10 wins and 1 loss.
