The story

Youssef Assouik is a Danish Muay Thai fighter who competes internationally and is affiliated with ONE Championship. His career has taken him to places including Thailand. In addition to competing himself, he owns and coaches at Assouik Gym in Copenhagen.
At the gym, he mainly coaches juniors and advanced participants and provides personal training. He also oversees selection for the competition team. His own competitive career and his work on the training floor therefore remain closely connected.

From the club to international competitions. According to the club, Assouik's sporting journey is connected to the gym that bears his name. He began his journey there at the age of thirteen and progressed to competing internationally. The club also identifies him as a ONE fighter.

Back on the training floor. When he is not fighting internationally, Assouik teaches in Copenhagen. His training groups mainly consist of juniors and advanced athletes. Admission to the competition team takes place through his selection, meaning he also plays a direct role in guiding athletes toward competition.
