Copenhagen Muay Thai

Copenhagen Muay Thai, or CMT for short, is a volunteer-run Muay Thai club at Emblasgade 171 in Copenhagen. It offers training for children and juniors, a girls’ and women’s group, and mixed classes for adults.
In the mixed group, competitive fighters and recreationalists train together on technique, strength, and fitness. Trainers, members, and friends work together to build a gym with a strong family atmosphere.

Intro

A gym that its members themselves keep going. At Copenhagen Muay Thai on Emblasgade, volunteers form the foundation of the club. Trainers with diverse backgrounds and experience lead the classes; members and friends helped create the training space.

Children, juniors, and adults have their own class pathways. In the mixed adult group, athletes with and without competition ambitions train together. A free trial class offers an opportunity to get acquainted.

Atmosphere and culture

CMT calls itself not only a club, but also a family. Respect for the trainer, other members, and the club is part of the training. Within the youth groups, attention is paid to each individual participant, alongside technique and physical development.

The girls' and women's group trains in a private room with the curtains closed. The mixed classes also provide a shared training environment for men and women, with sparring as part of the program.
