Sønderborg Boxing Club

Sønderborg Boxing Club carries on the local amateur boxing tradition at Frihedsallé. The club focuses on Olympic amateur boxing and also offers recreational boxing training for members who mainly want to improve their fitness.
This combination gives the club two sides within one association. Competitive boxers work toward their appearances in the ring, while the recreational division offers another reason to come to the boxing gym. Both groups are part of Sønderborg’s local community life.

Atmosphere and culture

Not every member has the same ambition. The recreational division exists alongside amateur boxing. As a result, the club is not exclusively a place for athletes with plans to compete, but also for members who choose boxing training as their regular exercise session.
