Jan-Erik Jørgensen

From practitioner to club founder and head instructor. Jan-Erik Jørgensen began practising taekwondo in 1974. Three years later, he founded Tan Gun, where he handled both the administration and technical direction in its early years.

Profile

The story

Jørgensen's own start in taekwondo shortly preceded the founding of Tan Gun in 1977. Until 1981, he combined the roles of chairman and head instructor. His work as a trainer therefore belongs to the club's early period.

His involvement did not end with those early years. From 1998 to 2016, he was chairman again. This later period on the board links his role in the founding of the club with its further development.
