Intro

Ariake Arena is an indoor arena in Tokyo's Koto ward on Tokyo Bay. The arena was built for the 2020 Olympic Games, where volleyball was played, and seats approximately 15,000 spectators.

History

The arena opened in February 2020 and served as the venue for volleyball and wheelchair basketball during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Since 2022, Ariake Arena has been a regular venue for major combat sports events: Naoya Inoue fought several world title bouts there in boxing (2022, 2023, and 2024), and ONE Championship held ONE 165 there on January 28, 2024. On April 29, 2026, ONE Samurai 1 took place there, launching ONE's monthly series of events in Japan, with the main event featuring Takeru Segawa stopping Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the fifth round of his farewell bout.
