Jyllinge Halls

Opened on 28 August 1971 the first Jyllinge sports hall was built thanks to local volunteer work and donations. The community raised money through, among other things, eleven village festivals. A second hall and a swimming pool followed later.

The fire of 9 July 2014 destroyed both halls and caused severe soot damage to the swimming pool. After a reconstruction lasting several years, Jyllinge got a renovated sports complex.

The large hall has stands for 400 spectators. The manager reports a total capacity of 700 people, including athletes; with tables arranged on the floor, there is space for approximately 400 people. The hall is also suitable for concerts and markets.

The multi-purpose hall can be divided into three smaller halls using partition walls. Smaller rooms and club spaces support a range of activities. On the level below the sports café is a training room for kickboxing and judo, where visitors can watch from outside the room.

Club sports and larger gatherings share the complex. Clubs, schools, and recreational athletes use the various spaces, while the large hall accommodates tournaments and sports demonstrations. The sports café offers a direct view of the large hall.

Planetvej 35 in Jyllinge is the visitor address. There is a spacious free car park on Planetvej and a smaller car park along Møllevej. The sports café offers a place to eat and drink.
