The story

Demetrious Khrisna Johnson was born on August 13, 1986, in Madisonville, Kentucky, and grew up in Parkland, Washington. Building on a strong wrestling foundation and years of training at AMC Pankration, he developed an impressive technical arsenal.

In 2012, Johnson became the inaugural UFC Flyweight Champion. Between 2012 and 2018, he defended his title eleven consecutive times. After losing his title to Henry Cejudo in 2018, he moved to ONE Championship through a unique trade.

Johnson won the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix tournament in 2019 and captured the ONE Flyweight title in 2022. In 2024, he announced his retirement and was inducted into the ONE Hall of Fame. In 2026, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
