History

The association was founded in 1947 by Herman van 't Hof, the Rotterdam boxer after whom the club is named. In 1926, Van 't Hof won the European light heavyweight title. After his boxing career, he passed on his knowledge of the sport through his own association.

The boxing gym was initially located in Kralingen and later moved to Crooswijk. In 1987, trainer Ton Dunk Sr. took over leadership. Under his leadership, Van 't Hof remained an important part of Rotterdam's boxing scene. Ton Dunk Jr. also continued the training work at the association.
