RSVB Erasmus Boxing

RSBV Erasmus Boxing is Rotterdam’s student boxing association and trains at Erasmus Sport on the Woudestein campus of Erasmus University in Kralingen. The association offers training sessions, sparring days, and competitions for beginners and experienced boxers. In addition to boxing, friendship and social activities are central.

Intro

RSBV Erasmus Boxing is Rotterdam's student boxing association. The association trains at Erasmus Sport on the Woudestein campus of Erasmus University, in Kralingen. Students can box there from beginner to competition level.

In addition to group classes, the club organizes sparring days and its own competitions. Outside training sessions, there are social activities and team outings. Each year, a new student board takes over the management of the association.

Atmosphere and culture

Friendship inside and outside the ring plays an important role at Erasmus Boxing. The club combines boxing training with social activities and team outings. Beginners and experienced boxers are part of the student association together.

Sparring days and their own competitions give members the opportunity to expand their boxing experience. Each year, the student board organizes both the sporting and social activities together with the association.

About this location

Members of Erasmus Boxing took part in the Dutch Student Boxing Championships. Former student Maarten Wuyster boxed for the club at the World Student Boxing Championships in Mongolia.

History

RSBV Erasmus Boxing joined the Dutch Boxing Federation as a recognized boxing center. According to the federation, Erasmus Boxing was the first university boxing club to take this step.
