The story

A place of his own to pass on experience. At Sydmarken 48, Burnell is not only a fighter but also a coach and owner. Together with Nicolai Wie and the rest of the coaching team, he is building a training environment where international competition experience is closely integrated into the daily classes.

MMA and no-gi as a foundation. His work as a coach is grounded in experience in MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In addition to appearances in the UFC, Bellator and PFL, he brings a third-degree BJJ black belt and a European no-gi title. The gym offers BJJ without a gi.

Method

Training approach

Space for different levels. The gym co-led by Burnell distinguishes between introductory classes, regular training sessions, and advanced or invitation-only groups. This gives beginners a clear entry point, while experienced athletes can continue training in suitable groups. The coaching team monitors access to classes that require more experience.
