Four years after losing the semifinal to Akihiro Kaneko on his way to being crowned champion, Krush champion Riamu returns for a rematch. On September 12, 2026, he will challenge Kaneko for the K-1 Super Bantamweight title.

The story

Riamu represents the bridge between the Krush feeder series and the K-1 main card. His combination of Kyokushin karate and kickboxing earned him both a long-running Krush title reign and a K-1-level tournament victory.

At K-1 WORLD MAX 2026, he gets another chance against Akihiro Kaneko, the champion who defeated him in the semifinals in 2022. The title challenge marks the biggest moment of his career to date.
