Profile

The story

Tyjani Beztati grew up in Amsterdam East and made his professional kickboxing debut in 2014 at the age of seventeen. Through Chakuriki/Pancration, Vos Gym, Colosseum Gym and later Days Gym, he developed into one of the biggest talents in Dutch lightweight kickboxing. At eighteen, he became the youngest fighter ever to sign a contract with GLORY Kickboxing.
In 2017, Beztati reached the final of the GLORY Lightweight Contender tournament, but lost to Stoyan Koprivlenski. Two previous title attempts also ended in defeat, against Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in 2018 and Marat Grigorian in 2019. On September 4, 2021, he finally captured the vacant GLORY lightweight title by defeating Elvis Gashi.

He then successfully defended his title against, among others, Josh Jauncey, Stoyan Koprivlenski, Petpanomrung Kiatmuu9 and Enriko Kehl. He became the fighter with the most wins in the history of the GLORY lightweight division. In 2024 and 2025, he also competed at welterweight and fought to two draws against Chico Kwasi for the vacant title.

On September 1, 2025, Beztati announced his retirement from kickboxing to focus fully on MMA. He subsequently won three consecutive fights in the Levels Fight League, including bouts against Italo Julio and Josue Ekedi Misseke. On September 26, 2026, he will face Polish KSW fighter Daniel Kolasiński at LFL24 in Den Bosch at a catchweight of around 72 kg.

Beztati became a mainstay at GLORY Kickboxing at a young age. After several unsuccessful title attempts, he won the vacant lightweight title in 2021 and went on to defend it multiple times. As a result, he became the record holder for wins in the GLORY lightweight division.

After retiring from kickboxing in 2025, he switched to MMA. He won his first three professional fights at Levels Fight League, after which he faces a major test against Daniel Kolasiński at LFL24 in Den Bosch. His status as a kickboxing legend is based on his completed career; his MMA chapter is still in its early stages.

In the ring

Fighting style

In kickboxing, Beztati combined his height and reach with long jabs, powerful kicking combinations, and precise distance control. His style was methodical and explosive, with a strong fighter's mentality. In MMA, he has so far primarily demonstrated striking dominance and knockout power; his ground game and wrestling defense still need to prove themselves at the highest level.
